Port Elliot is a small coastal town located in the southeastern part of South Australia, Australia. It has a population of approximately 1,600 people.

The town is situated on the eastern end of Horseshoe Bay, which is a popular swimming and surfing spot, and is bordered by hills to the south and east. It is located about 80km southwest of Adelaide and is accessible by road via the Southern Expressway and Port Elliot Road.

Port Elliot was established in 1850 and was named after Sir Charles Elliot, who was the Governor of Bermuda at the time. The town was a major port for the region and served as a hub for agricultural and timber industries.

Today, Port Elliot is a popular tourist destination due to its picturesque landscapes, rich history, and access to various recreational activities. Visitors can enjoy swimming or surfing at Horseshoe Bay, exploring the coastal trails, or paying a visit to the Port Elliot Railway Station Museum.
